You’re Almost There! Surviving the Final Weeks of a Semester

When students are asked what their most stressful time during the school year is, the majority will tell you it is the final weeks in a semester. The reason for this is that when you are down to your last couple of weeks, all your classes are wrapping up and students are expected to dedicate their time to final projects. The problem with final projects is that almost every class has one and they are all due at relatively the same time. On top of final projects, the ending of the semester indicates that it is almost exam time! This puts an incredible amount of pressure on students.

However, Nipissing University offers a wide range of programs to assist students in achieving academic success. Academic Advising helps students plan their future and stay on top of their current course schedules. Student Development and Services can help students find resources for tutoring, mentoring, and the building of their academic skills. Nipissing’s small class sizes also help by making learning more personal. At Nipissing University, Professors are very approachable and are more than willing to provide one on one help for students who have questions about assignments, tests, and even exams.

My experience as a second year Nipissing University student has taught me that there is plenty of help available, but it is up to you to reach out and ask for it. For students still unsure of which university to attend I will leave you with this, if you are looking for a university that will put as much time and effort into your academic success as you will, then Nipissing University is the right university for you. Hope to see you all next year 🙂
