It’s that time of year again when Nipissing opens its doors to all potential students looking to join the Nipissing family! Much like a groom carrying his new bride over the threshold of their first house together, those first moments for a new student are important.
The March Open house is designed to make sure those steps are taken with confidence. Even as someone who has lived in North Bay all their life, I found it extremely intimidating my first time visiting the campus. My biggest fear was getting lost; being left by myself wondering the hallways looking for an exit sign. Luckily I didn’t have that experience. My first time on campus I was greeted by the multiple volunteers who directed me every step of the way. I’m sure most of us can remember our open house day. Now I’m sure you are wondering by now, “I’ve already had my open house day, what does this have to do with me?” Just because your day has past, doesn’t mean you never have to attend a Nipissing Open House again!
This time, why not try getting involved volunteering this year, getting to be the helpful guide that you first saw when it was your open house! If you’ve been repeatedly checking your Nipissing inbox these past few days eagerly awaiting the sign up form (I know you have), the time has come! The Student Recruitment Offices are now looking for students like you to volunteer your time at the March Open House on Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st.
Just in case you thought the mail was spam and deleted it in a hurry, don’t worry! I have your back 🙂 Here’s the link to the sign up form:
