Tales from the Road

Hello reader, thank you for taking the time to read my little blog here! It’s been such a busy past few months that I wish I could have taken the time to grow this little blurb spot, but alas, the road kept this recruiter quite occupied.

So what have I been doing? Well, since September 21st, I have been on the road, meeting and speaking with various high school students, and transfer students across the province. The conversation? Why Nipissing University is so great, of course! From academics to athletics; from residence to student life, there was so much promise and excitement shared between all parties. It was quite the experience; more than 250 words can share!

Upon returning back to the Office after being on the road for nine (9) weeks; however, it’s safe to say that there is a lot to reflect on. Being in constant contact with prospective students and their growing minds is certainly a refreshing way to stay youthful; these young students have so much left to learn and discover, it’s quite charming knowing that in hindsight and helping them in the earliest steps to discovering that. In actuality, I realize that I too, have so much left to learn and explore. This recruitment season has made me realize that the path to education and self-discovery doesn’t and shouldn’t end at university, but it’s definitely a great place to start!

Anyway, I’ve got to jet! It’s been a slice thus far!

Until next time Lakers, and soon-to-be Lakers!
