When you can’t fight the procrastination anymore

I know my last blog post was on how to prevent procrastination, but at this point in time in the semester we can’t postpone procrastination anymore, its taken full hold of us and is not letting go. This point in time in the semester takes its toll on all of us. We all know exams are the perfect time to start a new tv show on Netflix. But if you’re like me and you’ve already watched everything good on there over and over again here are some new ideas and some different shows that might have been hiding from you.

Merlin is based in Britain and is a dramatic fantasy adventure television show. It is a reimagining of the legend of King Arthur and Merlin. Arthur’s father, Uther Pendragon, has banned magic within Camelot, and using it is punishable by death, so Merlin has to keep his magical powers to himself. Arthur grows from a young lad, to a mighty king in the legends and Merlin develops into his colossal role in creating the powerful Camelot.


Cuckoo is a British TV Show set in Lichfield, Staffordshire. This is the home to the Thompson Family. When Ken and Lorna collect their daughter Rachel from the airport, they learn she has returned from her year abroad before medical school having married Dale “Cuckoo” Ashbrick, an eccentric American hippie with an exuberantly loving attitude who does not have a job and loves to take drugs.



Crashing is an American comedy television series. The show revolves around a fictional version of the creator, Pete Holmes, a young comedian who pursues a career in stand-up comedy after his wife cheats on him, leaving him homeless.


Imposters is about Maddie, a con artist who, with the help of her two teammates, gets men and women to fall in love with her and takes advantage of them. Eventually three of her former victims team up to track her down.


Chewing Gum is a British television sitcom set in London. The show focuses around a 24 year old shop assistant Tracey Gordon, who is a restricted, religious virgin, who wants to have sex and learn more about the world.

Friends is about Rachel Green, who flees her wedding day and finds childhood friend, Monica Geller, a New York City chef. They become roommates, and Rachel joins Monica’s social circle of single people in their mid-20s; struggling actor Joey Tribbiani, Business professional Chandler Bing, masseuse and musician, Phoebe Buffay and newly divorced paleontologist Ross Geller, Monica’s older brother. To support herself, Rachel becomes a waitress at Central Perk, a Manhattan coffeehouse where the group often hangs out; when not there, the six are usually at Monica and Rachel’s nearby West Village apartment, or Joey and Chandler’s across the hall.

The 100 is an American post-apocolyptic science fiction drama television series. The series is set 97 years after a devastating nuclear apocalypse wiped out almost all life on Earth. Over 2400 survivors live on a single massive station in Earth’s orbit called “the ark”. After the ark’s life-support systems are found to be failng 100 juvenile prisoners are sent to the surface in a last attempt to determine whether Earth is habitable. They discover not all humanity was destroyed and some survived the apocalypse; the grounders, who live in clans locked in a power struggle, the Reapers, another group of Grounders who have become cannibals; and Mountain Men, who live in Mount Weather and locked themselves away before the apocalypse. Under the leadership of Bellamy and Clarke, the 100 attempt to survive the harsh surface conditions, battle hostile Grounders, and establish communication with the Ark.


New Girl is an American sitcom television series. It revolves around a kooky teacher, Jess, after she moved into a Los Angeles loft with three men, Nick, Schmidt, and Winston; Jess’s best friend Cece is also a part of the series. The show combines comedy and drama elements as the characters who are in their early thirties, deal with maturing relationships and career choices.

Grey’s Anatomy follows Meredith Grey, the daughter of an esteemed general surgeon named Ellis Grey, following her acceptance into the residency program at the fictional Seattle Grace Hospital. During her time as a resident, Grey works alongside her fellow doctors Cristina Yang, Izzie Sevens, Alex Karev, and George O’Malley, who each struggle to balance personal lives with the hectic work and training schedules. They are overseen during their internship by Miranda Bailey, a senior resident who works for attending, Derek Shepherd, the head of neurosurgery and Meredith’s love interest; Preston Burke, the head of cardio, who becomes Yang’s fiancé; and Richard Webber, the Chief of Surgery and attending general surgeon and former lover of Ellis Grey decades before.


Shadowhunters is about Clary Fray who has just enrolled at Brooklyn Academy of Arts. On her eighteenth birthday, she learns that she is a Shadowhunter, a human born with angelic blood who protect humans from demons. That night, Clary’s mother, Jocelyn, is abducted by a group of rogue Shadowhunters called the circle. Their leader is Jocelyn’s ex-husband, Valentine Morgenstern. With her mother missing, Clary turns to Luke, a person she trusted, only to seemingly be betrayed. Clary joins up with a band of Shadowhunters to save her mother and discovers powers she never knew she possessed. Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with the mysterious narcissistic and attractive Shadowhunter Jace, and also her loyal geeky friend Simon. Now living amongst seelies, warlocks, vampire, and werewolves. Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.


Riverdale follows Archie Andrews life in the small town of Riverdale and explores the darkness hidden behind its seemingly perfect image.


Outlander is a British-American television drama series based on the historical time travel Outlander series of novels by Diana Gabaldon. In 1946, former World War II nurse Claire Randall and her husband Frank are visiting Inverness, Scotland, when she is carried back in time form the standing stones art Craigh na Dun to the 18th century. She falls in with a group of rebel Scottish Highlanders from the Clan MacKenzie who are being pursued by British Redcoats led by Captain Jonathan “Black Jack” Randall, Frank’s ancestor. She marries a highlander, Jamie Fraser, out of necessity but they quickly fall in love. The Clan suspect her of being a spy, and retain her as a healer, preventing her attempts to return to her own time. Knowing that the Jacobite cause is doomed to fail, Claire tries to warn against pursuing a rebellion. Jamie is captured and tortured by the sadistic Randall, but rescued Claire and the Clan. They set sail for France.


This is us follows the lives of siblings, Kevin, Kate, and Randall, aka the big three, and their parents Jack and Rebecca Pearson. It takes place in the present and using flashback at various times in the past. Kevin and Kate are the two surviving members of a triplet pregnancy, born six weeks premature on Jack’s 36th birthday in 1980; their biological brother is stillborn. Believing they were meant to have three children, Jack and Rebecca, who are white, decide to adopt Randall, a black child born the same day and brought to the same hospital after his biological father abandoned him at a fire station. Jack dies when his children are 17.
