Campus Tours

Join one of our friendly and knowledgeable guides as they take you on a tour of the North Bay Campus! You’ll have a chance to check out lecture halls, classrooms, lab spaces and other favourite stops along the way. You’ll also take a peek at our award-winning library and athletic centre.

Information Sessions

The Information Sessions will help you learn more about Nipissing University, the application process, financial aid, residence life and all of the student services we have to offer. This informal, half hour session will give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Residence Tours

Interested in what life is like in residence? Our students will be rolling out the welcome mats for Open House! Our students will take you on a tour of our suite-style and townhouse-style award-winning residences, with a guaranteed private room for all first-year students coming directly from high school.

Program Sessions (Presentations, Panels and Tours)

Drop into one of our classrooms and get some inside knowledge on your program of choice from one of our first-rate accessible professors. They’ll give you an overview of what to expect over the next few years.

Services and Programs Fair

Your tour will end at the Information Fair in the Athletic Centre. Here, you’ll have a chance to speak to faculty and students from each program who all are passionate about their programs. This is also a great opportunity to talk to representatives from residence life, student services, athletics and some of the clubs we have on campus.

Fine Arts Students – Monastery Hall Tours

Hop on the bus for a quick ride to Monastery Hall and see where our Fine Arts students get inspired by the picturesque surroundings.

Nursing Students – Lab Tours

Join us for a tour of our Nursing simulation labs. See where our Nursing students learn and practice their skills in various simulated patient case scenarios.

Physical and Health Education Students – Lab Tours

Come see why our BPHE students love their program. You will have a chance to check out some of the innovative labs our students learn in such as our new environmental chamber, our exercise science lab, and our biomechanics lab.

Things to do

There are many wonderful winter outdoor activities right on campus. You can snowshoe or cross-country ski the 20 km of trails located on campus. North Bay offers a variety of local art galleries to serve your needs. Visit the Discovery North Bay museum, which offers fun for the whole family. Head to the movie theatre to catch a flick, or check out a live theatre or music show playing at the Capitol Centre.

Of course we’re partial to all of our men’s and women’s Nipissing Lakers teams (basketball, cross country running, hockey, nordic skiing, soccer, volleyball plus a myriad of intramural teams) and we encourage you to become a fan, too! North Bay is also home to the OHL team, The North Bay Battalion.
