Exploring Ontario

Another travel season is here and I could not be more excited. With this being my second year on the road I look forward to meeting all the students who are exploring their post-secondary options.

One of my favorite Nipissing University features is the natural scenery. I truly believe it’s a unique campus life experience because you have the opportunity to get an amazing education and explore the trails surrounding the campus. Nipissing’s environment is definitely something I miss while I’m on the road but what I plan on doing is exploring the different areas I am visiting.

There are so many provincial parks and hidden gems throughout Ontario that I can’t wait to have the opportunity to see them for myself. While I’m in Sault Ste. Marie I look forward to experiencing the Parks Canada Canal Historic Site that traces back thousands of years of history (yes I am most definitely a history major), the Bridal Veil Falls on Manitoulin Island, Shirley’s Bay in Ottawa and Onaping High Falls just west of Sudbury.

These are just a few of the places I am excited to see but if you have any more suggestions, please let me know. My challenge to everyone is that when you come to North Bay to check out our campus, that you make sure you visit Duchesnay Falls and the Education Centre trails. I assure you that you will not be disappointed!
