Upgrading your business diploma to a Nipissing University degree

I’m a firm believer in post-secondary education. I have an obvious preference for Nipissing University, being a two-time graduate, but I support anyone who goes on to further their education. For a lot of students, this journey begins with college…but it doesn’t have to end there.

Our College Partnership Program, the CPP, gives graduates of three-year advanced business diplomas the chance to upgrade their college diplomas to university degrees. It can be completed in 12 or 16 months, depending on the degree, and here is the best part: you don’t have to relocate!

Don’t get me wrong, you’re all invited to our North Bay campus, and we would love to have you! That said, we realize that after three years, you may already be settled and have a home, so we brought our amazing courses to you. Graduates from Algonquin, Centennial, St. Clair, Lambton, or Niagara College are all able to complete this Nipissing University program at your home campuses.

Class sizes stay about the same size as what you’re used to, though some are even smaller. The program begins in the fall and goes through the summer, making it a quick way to upgrade to the degree employers are looking for.

But what if you are already in the workforce? We have you covered for that too! We schedule all the courses between 5:00-9:00PM, allowing working students the flexibility to work and take our program part-time. And for those of you with an accounting diploma, our College Partnership Program fulfills the degree requirement and gets you the PREP modules you need to enter the CPA.

Now, I have spoken with a lot of students in their last year of college, and I always get the same thing. For some reason, someone or something has made these students think they won’t be successful in university. So I want to have some real talk with you. If you can complete your three-year diploma with a 72% average, you can absolutely succeed in our program. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, but any university degree that is easy to get isn’t worth your time. What I am saying is that you have it in you, and we will support you the whole way through.
