Restaurant Recommendations

Cecil’s Brewhouse and Kitchen -If you like the Irish Pub feel then you’re going to LOVE Cecil’s. Located downtown at 300 Wyld Street – This place is incredible. Live music, great staff and food that is to die for. I highly, HIGHLY recommend you get the “Green Apple and Pecan Harvest Salad”, or the classic Fish and Chips. If you’re legal drinking age then there is a variety of selections. This is one of my all time favourite restaurants in North Bay.

The Sub Place – Another one of my favourite places is the Sub Place. It’s located on McKeown in the plaza next to No Frills. It’s close to campus and has delicious food. With subs and Greek cuisine, there’s a lot of variety to choose from. I personally love getting the Souvlaki dinner. I highly recommend you try this place at least once!

Thai Palace – If you’re like me and love Thai food, this is the best place to get it. I’ve never had such delicious Thai in my life. It’s located downtown on Main Street West. The Pad Thai was incredible and I cannot wait to try many more things on the menu. Thai Palace is also listed on Skip the Dishes, an online food delivery site, making it convenient for those who may not be able to make it downtown.

Aroy Dee – This place is fabulous, and conveniently located on the corner of McKeown and Algonquin. Depending on the day, it’s about $25.00 a person, but it’s all you can eat. You order your food off an iPad – which is so fun! There is a variety of selection such as my favourites – crab rangoon and green tea ice cream. My friend and I have are making it a tradition to go at the end of every school year.

If you’re not into going out to restaurants then try SkipTheDishes.com. Food can be ordered and delivered right to your doorstep or residence (or library!).
