Four years ago, I wrote a blog post about six of the most important lessons that I learned during my first year of undergraduate studies. While I cannot possibly reduce my NU experience to just six lessons, I cannot help but think about how almost unbelievable it seems that in just a few short weeks my time as an undergraduate student will be coming to an end. My studies at Nipissing University have been by far the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. I will forever look fondly upon the countless wonderful people that I have had the privilege to both meet and befriend. I am also forever grateful for the incredible support that I have received from both my professors, and my university. I am further grateful for the person that Nipissing University has helped me to become.
Not that long from now, I’ll be beginning a new chapter. While I will certainly miss the familiarity and the comfort of my NU family (and not to mention the Nipissing trails, our wonderful library, and our incredible professors), I know that Nipissing University has prepared me to overcome all of the challenges this new adventure will present me with. Let me tell you, Lakers, it isn’t easy to say goodbye; but I am comforted in knowing that I am only saying goodbye for now…and not forever.
